Bio

Alejandro (Alex) Sanchez is an environmental policy and management graduate student at the University of California, Davis, specializing in climate change policy. His research interests center on air quality and environmental justice, with a focus on deploying air monitoring instruments in underserved communities and translating complex scientific findings into accessible policy briefs and community education materials. Alex's work spans academic research, government laboratories, and community-based organizations, reflecting his commitment to bridging science, policy, and community action. He currently serves as a student assistant at the California Air Resources Board (CARB) in the Transportation and Toxics Division, and a graduate student researcher (GSR) working under Dr. Clare Cannon in the Human Ecology Department. Alex holds a B.S in Environmental Studies from California State University, Sacramento, where his thesis explored the link between vehicle emissions and respiratory health disparities.
